Young lady blowing against agesim

Showing the youth age expectations by recreating the Japanese Ukiyoe painting “Young lady blowing a poppin” by Utamaro Kitagawa. The photo expresses that age is just a number and free to do anything, in contrast to the stereotype of young people expecting a certain age in Japan. A birthday whistle is used as a modern arrangement in place of the 'poppin' from the original painting.

浮世絵「ポッピンを吹く女」にエイジズムのテーマを加えた作品。若者の一定の年齢に期待するステレオタイプに対して、年齢はただの数字であって何をするにも自由である事を表現した写真。ポッピンの代わりに現代アレンジとして誕生日ホイッスルを使用している。
