Portraying the different BeauTY, DiversiTY, CommuniTY, InclusiviTY through recreating the Japanese Ukiyoe “At first glance he looks very fierce, but he s really a nice person” by Utagawa Kuniyoshi. The message of the original painting is that good people are formed through the involvement of many different people, and this photo expresses that diversity by using models with various roots to create a single face.

歌川国芳作、浮世絵「みかけはこわいがとんだいい人だ」を複数の身体のコラージュで再現した作品。良い人間形成はいろんな人が関わることによって出来るという原画のメッセージから、様々なルーツを持つモデルを使用しひとつの顔を作り上げる事によって多様性を表現した写真。異なる人種や肌の多様性を写真を通して伝えると共に、それぞれの独自の美しさや価値を表現した作品。
